"What we tend to forget, is that Chinese Medicine was the only medicine used to treat all trauma, ailments and disease in China for nearly 2000 years. The top intellectuals of that time were completely dedicated to investigating, developing and furthering that medicine (acupuncture being a major component) to cure all ailments of that period. This is the fantastic legacy and depth of the medicine we practice today."

About Steve McCulloch
I am a qualified acupuncturist offering personalised treatments for specific ailments and general well-being in southwest London - Clapham, Battersea and Shepherds Bush.
I graduated with a BSc first class honours degree in Chinese Medicine: acupuncture from the University of Westminster. I was invited to carry out post-graduate training in Taiwan at one of their prominent Chinese Medical Hospitals where acupuncture is still taught and practiced as read from the classical texts. Competence and experience
In the last five years, I have dedicated myself to learning advanced skills from Andrew Nugent Head who was a disciple of Dr. Li Hongxiang in Beijing - one of the last known Chinese medical doctors who still practices in a completely traditional manner.
The use of the many acupuncture and bodywork techniques, traceable back to Chinese Medicine as practiced at the zenith of the Imperial Court, has transformed my efficacy as a practitioner in treating body imbalances, disease and musculoskeletal issues. Integral to my competence as an acupuncturist and therapist is my continual practice and self development through Qi Gong (a moving meditative practice similar to Tai Chi) which I have dedicated myself to for the last 12 years. I feel it is Qi Gong which gives me the sensitivity to perceive and action changes to the body using both my hands and the acupuncture needles. I have been an active sportsman my whole life and have a continued passion for cycling, surfing and skiing. As a result I have had my fair share of sports related injuries and have found acupuncture, Qi Gong and yoga an extremely effective way to regain and maintain my health. |
I am a registered and fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Society.
